Join us for our programme of residential courses in Autumn 2006. Courses in Wilderness Survival, Earth Skills and the Ultimate Survival Trek will take place at Roeburn Wood, Helensburgh, near Glasgow.
Wilderness
Survival: Thurs 21st - Sat 23rd September
This course offers you the opportunity to discover Native American survival skills.
During
this weekend you will learn the basics of survival, including:
* survival order;
* nature navigation techniques;
* survival shelters;
* water purification techniques;
* basic fire making skills;
* primitive
crafts inc. rope and burn bowl/ spoon;
* identify wild edible and medicinal plants.
Cost: £145/ £90 including all simple meals and camping (alternative accomodation can be found locally if preferred).
Location: meet at Helensburgh, near Glasgow.
Earth Skills- Nature Awareness and Wildlife Tracking: Sat 23rd- Mon 25th September
Join
us to discover some of the ancient and now mostly lost, practical Earth
Skills of Nature Awareness and Wildlife Tracking. You will experience
and appreciate nature in a new light when you join us to discover the
delights of Roeburn Wood for this informal and practical course.
Enhance your awareness and learn to use your intuition to explore nature in the ways practised by Native Americans. We will play games of awareness reconnecting with nature before we find out how understanding tracks reveals the secret lives of animals.
Cost: £145/ £95 including all simple meals and camping (alternative accomodation can be found locally if preferred).

Survival
Trek Solo: Thurs 19th- Sun 22nd October
This is the ultimate challenge and one you will never forget. After a quick refresher course and local familiarisation you will be ready to test your skills and embark on a 2 day solo survival trek. As you walk out into the woods with little or no possessions, you will find building a shelter, making fire and finding water and wild foods will only be the start of this memorable adventure.
This course can also be taken as a solo experience. If you prefer- take the opportunity to tune out of your busy lifestyle and reconnect with nature and yourself. A chance to truly nurture yourself with the comfort and stillness you seek.
